END OF YEAR MESSAGE FROM THE ED
2025 THE YEAR OF REMARKABLE PROGRESS AND RENEWED HOPE.
As the year 2025 draws to a close, we pause with profound gratitude for the fruitful partnerships that have made positive impact possible.
We sincerely thank the Malawi government for the NGO Fund, received through NGO Regulatory Authority (NGORA) for Institutional Strengthening. We also thank various individuals and institutions that have supported us.
With the support received in 2025, we have managed to:
1. Develop eleven policy documents that define best governance practices - leading to strengthened governance systems.
2. Enhance strategic partnerships through stakeholder consultative meetings and partnership talks.
3. Train 5 board members and 5 management staff on Good Governance. Behind this training, there is a vibrant governance team.
4. Increase the scope of information dissemination and ensure global visibility through website development and regular updates.
5. Develop and launch 2025 – 2030 Strategic Plan - providing a clear road map of program implementation over the next 5 years.
6. Contribute to global health promotion literacy by publishing a practically simplified health promotion book that can be used by all cadres of health promoters.
7. Deliver Vitamin A Supplementation and Deworming (VAS+D) to 28,000 under five children in Nsanje -thereby reducing the risk of infection, night blindness, parasitic worm infestation, malnutrition etc.
8. Deliver prenatal vitamins known as Multiple Micronutrient Supplements (MMS) to 1,890 pregnant women in Nsanje - combining 15 essential nutrients into a single daily pill - thereby reducing low birthweight and stillbirths.
9. Train 30 health service providers in best VAS+D and MMS practices - leading to quality improvement.
10. Host NGORA and Vitamin Angels, USA at our office in Nsanje - receiving supportive supervision and mentorship from them - thereby growing the portfolio together.
Therefore, for us, 2025 has been the year of remarkable progress and we step into the new year 2026 with renewed hope.
We look forward to having long term partnership with you.
Happy New Year 2026.
