Sandra Phiri

A certified Nutritionist with a strong academic background in Nutrition, Public Health and Environmental and Occupational Health. She holds dual master’s degrees from prestigious European universities. Sandra has worked with the Physicians Association for Nutrition, contributing to the development of national dietary guidelines for several African countries. She is also a key member of the Malawi National Nutrition Committee, where she plays a vital role in developing and reviewing Malawi’s nutrition and food policies. 

Beyond her national work, Sandra serves as a European Climate Pact Ambassador. In this role, she is actively involved in reviewing national climate adaptation plans for both African and European nations and participates in high-level EU climate policy discussions. Sandra’s work reflects her deep commitment to improving health, nutrition, and environmental outcomes across diverse regions.

Nelson Zakeyu

 A Social Worker who has dedicated his entire life to fighting for the well-being of the society. He has extensive experience in NGO executive management, having served as Executive Director of Drug Fight Malawi for over two decades. His focus has been on curbing substance abuse to promote mental health. Nelson is adept at mobilizing communities to participate in various interventions aimed at alleviating their sufferings.

Alice Tukululu

An accountant with several years of hands-on experience in financial management. She is experienced in Financial Auditing and Compliance, having worked with multi-national companies. Alice has a rare ability to easily adapt to new work environments.

Charles Chavi

A Corporate Manager with several years of practical experience in Business Administration. Charles is the current Manager and Board Secretary for Shire Valley Cane Growers Trust, the Board Secretary for Kasinthula Cane Growers Limited, and the Director and Vice Secretary of MUDI SACCO.  He is a member of the Finance Committee of Fairtrade Africa Board and also a member of the Finance and Audit Committee of Fairtrade International Board. He is well-experienced in fundraising and sustainability strategies.

Jacob Simenti

An experienced and a dedicated man belonging to the Security Services profession with a major in Cybersecurity. Jacob’s commitment to NGO governance has earned him a second term on the CHAFO Board of Trustees.

Jofirisi Jofirisi

A Public health practitioner with over 15 years of practical work experience in strategic leadership and management positions. Jofirisi has successfully managed multi-million dollar projects funded by multi-lateral donors such as PEPFAR/USAID and the World Bank. Before founding Chididi Health for All Foundation (CHAFO) in 2014, he had worked with Population Services International, Malawi Liverpool Wellcome Trust - Clinical Research Programme, Médecins Sans Frontières - Belgium and Malawi’s Ministry of Health. He is well-experienced in strengthening structures and systems of organizations and in establishing successful partnerships.

Justice Msokera

He holds a Bachelor of Applied Accounting, Auditing and Information Systems. Justice has practical experience in using accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage. He attended a special training in Auditing and Compliance and Office Administration. He is hard-working and always eager to learn new things for personal and organizational development.

Martha Singano

Martha is a Public health practitioner with practical experience in Primary Health Care (PHC), having worked for years with Malawi’s Ministry of Health at Nkhotakota District Health Office (DHO) and with Partners in Health. She is adept at providing family planning, health promotion, nutrition, Water, Sanitation, hygiene and immunization services. She attended special training in project management.

Herald Luwizghie

He is a seasoned MEAL specialist with over seven years of experience in designing and managing MEAL systems across health, education, civil registration, and development sectors. He has supported national systems and donor reporting for partners including PEPFAR, UNITAID, KfW, UKAID, and USAID. At CHAFO, he leads efforts in data-driven decision-making, quality assurance, and organizational learning. His passion for accountability and learning aligns with CHAFO’s mission, vision and values.

Ellen Banda

Ellen is an experienced human resource management professional. She is passionate about the Human Centred Approach and Human Capital Development. He has organized several trainings aimed at facilitating the skills development of staff.  Ellen’s goal is to inspire others to join the health promotion movement championed by CHAFO towards healthy and thriving communities where everyone has access to equal and quality healthcare services they need for well-being. She believes that together we can alleviate the sufferings of our communities.

Clara Balaka

A dedicated Nurse-Midwife with over 20 years of practical experience. She is passionate about Maternal and Child Health (MCH). She is an advocate of high-quality, patient/client-centred care. She has specialized training qualifications in Oncology nursing and Palliative Care. She is an asset to CHAFO’s successful healthcare service delivery.

Joseph Chibwenje

A qualified and experienced public health practitioner with over eight years of public health leadership. Joseph’s prominent attribute is that of organizing district-level health education and promotion campaigns in response in response to public health emergencies such as the COVID-19 Pandemic, Cholera outbreaks and HIV/AIDS. He has worked in private, public and NGO sectors with a proven track record of efficient management of resources. He has successfully contributed to CHAFO’s health education and promotion interventions.

Williams Dube

An accomplished Programme Manager with over 20 years of work experience. His main focus is on strategic planning and the implementation of community engagement activities. Williams’ strategic initiatives have successfully fostered collaboration between CHAFO and the targeted communities, enhanced community participation, and ultimately empowered communities for health.

Innocent Luba

An expert in Advocacy and Communications with Business Communication qualification. He has held senior positions in Research, Communications, Public Relations and Marketing Consultancy firms. Innocent’s services to CHAFO border around developing communication strategies,  branding, media relations, designing Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials, proposal development and assisting with professional writing.

Elton Namachekecha Phiri

A seasoned public health practitioner with several years of practical experience outside Malawi. He has advanced skills in engaging partners for the common goal and mobilizing them to contribute towards health promotion interventions for the betterment of our communities. He has linked CHAFO to individual well wishers, philanthropists, corporate world and donor community. He is the leader of CHAFO’s resource mobilization team called Friends of CHAFO.

Dr. Ameer Hamza
Dr. Ameer Hamza

A Medical Officer with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Health Sciences, Lahore, Pakistan. He is licensed to practice medicine in Malawi by the Medical Council of Malawi (MCM). He has clinical experience across high-volume Pakistani hospitals and Malawi’s Public health facilities. Dr. Ameer’s interest is in Child Health and Paediatric Medicine. His volunteering with CHAFO renders great service to the communities that CHAFO serve.
