Through support from the Malawi Government’s NGO Fund, administered by the Non-Governmental Organizations Regulatory Authority (NGORA), CHAFO is implementing an institutional development initiative aimed at building a resilient, well-governed, and policy-driven organisation. Following a national grant launch event presided over by Hon. Jean Sendeza, Minister of Gender, CHAFO represented all recipient NGOs and committed to leading by example in good governance.
Activities include the development and rollout of key organisational policies, covering financial management, procurement, HR, safeguarding, ICT, and governance, alongside the launch of a comprehensive 2025–2030 Strategic Plan. The project also involves staff and stakeholder orientations and the development of a Resource Mobilisation Plan, contributing to long-term sustainability and compliance with national NGO standards.
